Toshiba L655 S5155 won't turn on after I opened it.

While, I know how to expertly remove HDD, DVD and RAM, this was my first venture into other more complicated parts of the machine. I unplugged the system fan and plugged it back in but after re assembly noticed that the fan is not working. I also managed to break the part of the ribbon which I believe connects the touchpad to the system board. My main concern is the reason why my machine does not turn on. I checked the ram. It is seated properly.

I tried getting the service manual from Toshiba. They don't have it on their website and they referred me to their parts warehouse.

I am desperate. Thank you. I am new at this type of repair.

Hi cynthia,

The problem might be related to the power supply line. Here is a user guide I found online. Chapter 6 is dealing with problems.
