Replaced batery, now no service

Folks,

I replaced the battery in my iPhone, being very careful not to do any damage to any infrastructure. I made sure every ribbon/wire was reset, even the legendary Number 7. I can not get any service on my phone. It seems to go between "Searching..." and "No service". Everything I read asks me to make sure Number 7 is placed correctly. It is.

Any new ideas?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Possibly your SIM card, or the connection for your SIM card reader to your motherboard. Not sure if this was removed but I know the iPhone 3GS you have to remove a lot to replace the battery.

Hope this helps you.
