LCD and Inverter are fine, but still no backlight. What to do?

Hi ifixit,

For the past few years i've been using your guides trying to fix my old macbook A1181. I've looked at multiple Questions and Answers on the website and none of them have helped my problem thus far.

My computer's backlight is off or broken, but just as your other article if i hold up the flashlight I can see it and everything else seems fine. I have no flickering like other people said, there is no amount of time that the backlight works, however when i changed the inverrter it did not work. Then I took it to a computer technician who replaced the lcd however the same problem occured. She claims that it has something to do with the logic board, but she took a guess. I see some people talk about faulty connections, faulty inverter cradles and what not, I was wondering if you had any more insight for a solution.

Thanks!

Try a PRAM reset. I have had several MacBooks with the similar problems and that seemed to take care of it.
