iPhone 4 won't turn on with back glass on
Hey Guys,
I have an iPhone 4 which I bought in 2010 when it first came out (GSM from AT&T). I faced this problem after 6 months of replacing the display by myself earlier this year after it shattered. I used an original one, bought from iFixit. The specific problem is that I will be using my iPhone, put it aside for a moment and then come back to continue using it to only find it turned off.
I tried holding power button by itself, together with Home button and even Home button alone, all for 30+ seconds. None of them turned it on, so I plugged it into the charger and it turned on! However, the moment I unplug it, it will go back to the same state. I suspected the battery was dead, so I replaced it with a new genuine one from ebay. Nope, that also didn't solve the problem.
However, I discovered a weird thing. When I remove the back glass, it turns on just fine and operates normally. If I put the back glass on again, it turns off. So, right now I am using an iPhone with exposed internal organs. I looked up the problem, it seems that no one else has the same problem. Do you guys have a solution to this problem?
Thanks
Is this a good question?
