Won't charge and keeps rebooting?

When I replaced the home button on my iPhone 4, I disconnected the battery from the logic board before I shutdown the phone.

Would it be the case that this caused a short on the logic board causing the above problems. I've tried everything but I'm still getting the same problem.

Anyone else have this? Any help woud be great.
