My water damaged iPhone 4 won't restore!

Not long ago I dropped my i phone in a cup of tea, it messed it up pretty badly. After changing the battery and cleaning it up a bit it now seems to work perfectly fine...UNTIL. It works fine until I attempt to restore it. It is currently stuck in safe mode and all I want to do is restore it.Whenever I try i comes up as an unknown error (-1) or (9). I've since been told that thi is a hardware problem. So I'm interested to know i anyone knows how fix this...a sort of DIY hardware fix.

Let me know,

cheers

Take the logic board out and clean it thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud.

You will need to remove the metal shields covering the processor and what not - corrosion hides here and causes all sorts of mischief.

Hey craig thanks for your reply. I have another iphone 4 that has a blocked IMEI number on it but works just fine. So i'm thinking of swapping the logic board from this phone to my phone...is this a better option than just cleaning the water damaged one?
