turn on once but after long time doesn't

Hi all,

I have an iBook G3 700MHz, once I could turn it on, last time I could boot from an install CD, then I turn it off, to give RAM, keyboard, mouse for it, then when I wanted tp turn it on again, it won't.

This logic board drives me crazy, if I have it rest, it will turn it once, but then I have to wait days (weeks) to turn it once again.

I bought it as parts, so I don't know anything about it.

There is no battery attached to it.

Any idea?

You most likely have the iBook G3 video issue. 700MHZ machines very commonly do. You can verify this by clamping the space just left of the trackpad very firmly while powering on -- if the screen lights up, you know it's the video issue.

There's not a reasonable fix, and considering the value of an iBook G3 today, you're best off using it as a parts machine and moving on.
