Box won't boot up. Logo flashes red

Dlink reports that when the logo on the box flashes red then green, it's a failed update. I have followed all the steps on dlinks support page and boxee.tv forum for this issue. I never get to a menu even when I try the restore process by using the USB firmware restore.

I assume its a failed hardware component.

Any ideas?
