same starter problems even after relacing it..

02 honda accord. when the key is turned to the on start possition. the starter turns over and will engage speratically.. i replaced the starter and solinoid. as they are one peice.. checked connections.. and still at a stand still cause every time i start the car it seems to be getting worse.. oh its a 2.3 vtec engine, manual trans.

brad, couple of things you do want to check. First make sure that your ignition key lock is working properly and that it does turn without sticking. IF that is okay, and like you said, you replaced your starter, check your main relay. This can give your errors like you are having. Since your vehicle is a manual, also check the clutch switch. Make sure that it is properly mounted and does properly disengage. Hope this helps, good luck.
