Why can't I get the front screen back in place?

I just replaced my friend's screen on her Itouch 4g. The only problem I came across is I could'nt get the screen back in flat. looks like it's because she dropped it on one corner which caused a minute bend. I think also it could be because I put the adhesive in wrong. How can you mess that up? I have no clue. It was stuck to the outmost edge when I compressed the screen down.

Anyways... any suggestions?

Options

Be sure the area the screen adheres to is clean before you glue it down. Also if any of the case is bent you may need to use some small pliers to reshape it before the screen will lay flat.
