Digitizer replaced / Touchscreen does not work

History

Hello -

I had an iPad 2 WiFi with a cracked digitizer/glass. I ordered a replacement digitizer/front glass from a leading iPad parts company (no junk). I removed the old digitizer/glass and installed the new one. Everything went flawless and the video connector from the new digitizer is perfectly inserted into the board connector. All of the buttons work BUT I can not get the new digitizer to work. I even installed a second one I purchased just to make sure but I can not get the digitizer to work. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have resolved the issue...thankfully. I have repaired electronics my whole life but it seems that the two-prong video connector cable off of the digitizer connects to the motherboard UPSIDE DOWN. I know that sounds strange, but if your digitizer does not work after replacing it, reverse these cables and put them in what most would think to be upside down (which in this case, is correct).

what do you mean upside down? how do you fix it? i have the same problem
