Head phone connection problem!

History

When headphones are completely pushed in to iPod, sound is still heard outside the iPod and not just in the headphones, what can I do?

If it's a 4th generation nano, there isn't an external speaker. Does your iPod have a video camera?

It is a 4th generation and you can hear the music before headphones are plugged in, once they are all the way in, you are supposed to only hear on the headphones

If you have a video camera, then your iPod is actually a 5th generation nano. I've seen this issue many times. My best advice is to take it to the Apple store and see what they say.

Agreed! Only the 5th gen Nanos have a video camera, and alll 5th gen Nanos that aren't user-damaged are still under warranty.
