@glass5604 first you want to check your power supply. Make sure it has the proper voltages. Check to make sure connectors are not bend etc. After that, check the charging port. Clean it of any debris etc., use a few puffs of air to clean it out. Make sure there is no corrosion, debris etc. that prevents it from working. If none of this works, get an ammeter and see if your phone draws any amperage from the charger.

After that, you need to check and see if your motherboard even gets power. For that, you need to open your phone up. Post some good pictures of what you see. That way we can see what you see. To work on your phone and since iFixit does not yet have any guides for this, use something like this video

Now check your charging board for any damage. There is also a flex cable that goes from the charging board to the main board. Make sure that this cable does not have any tears, corrosion or is otherwise damaged. If all of that checks out, then you have to check if the issue is on the motherboard. To check the charging port, use a voltmeter and measure the voltage on your battery connector. Next plug your phone charger in. Now measure the voltage on your battery connector. That voltage will have to have increased (~4.2V). If not, then the issue is either the port or the charging circuit.

At this point, you have to consider replacing the battery (definitely the first step), the charging board and possibly the flex cable. If this would be my phone, I'd replace the battery and the charging board and then re-evaluate.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.

that is a very bad way to test it, just visually inspect for dirt or debris in the charging port
