Hi @shaokis

It looks like the type of ceiling light shade that is held on by spring clips on the inside of the light shade.

Use a step ladder so that you can get up and reach the ceiling safely and then check if you can grip both sides of the shade and gently pull the shade straight down off the actual light fitting which is affixed to the ceiling.

Be safety aware and ensure that the light switch on the wall is switched off or to be doubly sure, remove the light power fuse (or trip the light breaker) in the house power box

Thanks. I was trying that but it felt like the shade is going to break in my hand! Do you think pulling down won’t shatter it

If you go gently it shouldn't. Just don't squeeze too hard but make sure that you have a good grip.

Can your finger tips get between the ceiling and the top of the shade? If so, place the fingers of both hands at the top of the shade on either side and then cup the shade in the palms of both hands (one hand either side of the shade) to hold it and then gently pull it down.

If there are spring clips holding it in place they will remain on the light fitting and when you go to replace the shade make sure that they're on the inside of the shade when you push it back up again over the clips to hold it in place.
