Power adapter cable replacement.

The crappy cable hard wired in to my power brick has now, after a year of use and sunlight, started to harden and is just about to crack. Just like Asus planned it to. I refuse to order a new $100 brick. I will rather remove the power connector from the motherboard and hardwire my laptop to the charger. I have been on the internet searching for a replacement to solder in to the brick but the only thing I can find is a "100W 1m USB C to 6.0x3.7mm cable" Which I could use, but the "100w" thing kinda concerns me as its a 240w supply. The same exact thing happened to my previous Asus tuf laptop, So I am very surprised there isnt an after market supply of these things. Do people really just buy a $100 charger every year?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Does the brick itself plug into the wall socket or the computer?
