I assume this screen is toast?

I accidentally ran the pick on the wrong side and detached the connector. Can I assume this screen is dead?

@johncstam that pictures is of the side correct? If so, then that is your front panel and not your screen. Yes, it's toast :-)

Let us know what model iPad Air that is.

Correct, it is the side and it is the outer panel not the LCD screen. It is an iPad Air 1st Gen. and not worth fixing. I spent $75 for the replacement batteries and tools. A new outer panel is $39 without tools. I can buy a functioning one online for $49. It is going in the trash and I'll sell the batteries and tools. :-) And buy a newer version.

@johncstam no, no, no! Not the trash. WE on iFixit don't bin things. Either give it to somebody to fix it or for parts. Binning is not allowed :-)
