Can I swap the motherboard from a newer MacBook?

After almost 13 years of faithful service, my 2011 MacBook Air finally died. All the repair stores said that nothing short of replacing the motherboard would help and they wouldn’t do it, so I decided to do it myself. I was wondering if it could be replaced with a board from a newer Marbook Air? From air 2017, ideally. The body seems to be the same, the motherboard looks identical.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Check out this thread. The short answer is that logic board from the 2013 through 2017 models are interchangeable, but the 2012 and earlier models are different, so a 2013+ logic board cannot be properly installed in a 2011 MBA.
