New 3DS XL: Dead pixels, spreading. Replace?

Hi! Thanks for reading. I recently noticed a small cluster of dead pixels on the top screen of my New 3DS XL. Over the past few days the cluster has grown. I'm worried it's going to get steadily worse until the screen becomes unusable. My questions are as follows:
1. Is there any way to salvage this screen before it dies?

2. If not, would a replacement screen from a standard XL work on a New XL, or do I have to find one from a New XL specifically? I couldn't find one on this website.

The new 3ds xl screen is different from the old 3ds xl screen there’s certain games only playable on the new 3ds xl because of hardware differences

No You have to get the new xl screen

Since the xl is much bigger then the standard xl
