I dropped my phone and the screen is cracked really bad and broken in pieces. I have clear packing tape on it now but I want to repair my screen myself, I know that I could if told a step by step instructions on how to DIY.

@vanessamartin since iFixit does not yet have a guide for it, I suggest that you check videos like this or even something like that Not as great as a step-by-step guide but it should help to get your display changed. It's not horribly complicated just follow those videos after having watched them a couple of time (and turn the music off ;-)
While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.
