Error message on 3DS

Hello,

I have a Homebrewed 3DS and I have it set up through Sub Wars/Steelhax.

Yesterday, every time I would click on Steelhax to open Homebrew, it would not load and would keep giving me the following error message: “An error has occurred. Please save your data in any software in use, then restart the system."

There was a system update prompt, could that be why? It is now version 11.17.0-50U, if that helps any.

I didn’t have any other software open.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!! :)

11.17 was released specifically to fight CFW and homebrew, so it very well could be the problem. Start with this:

  1. Turn off the console
  2. Hold the SELECT button
  3. Turn on the console while still holding the SELECT button.

If you see something like "Luma3DS Configuration" , head to this page, scroll to the bottom, and follow the link for your luma version.

If you boot to the normal HOME menu, I'd try setting up steelhax again. If you only want homebrew, you can stop after the second page, but I recommend following the guide to the end to install boot9strap + Luma3DS custom fiirmware
