Bent Frame Replacement guide

Does anyone have a good guide for a Frame replacement? I bent the phone in a car door. everything works fine and all internals are good after testing with a new screen.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Burke,

Yeah, that's the problem with having to fix a new model phone; the parts are expensive and information can be in short supply. However, the good news is there are other sites in the world that also support iFixit's repair philosophy; one such is a Spanish site called Nadie Me Llama Gallina. Their tutorials are well done and they do have just the one you're looking for.

Manuals / Google Pixel 7 Pro / Back cover with components

Of course, should you feel ambitious and altruistic, you'd have the gratitude of a lot of people if you were to document your repair and create your own iFixit guide. You can use existing guides as prerequisites and build on them with the steps needed to gut the chassis.

Good luck; let us know how it goes for you! Success stories are always appreciated, and we can usually learn something when things don't go right.

CLOSE, That has to be the best page ive seen so far. they just did the side buttons which is awesome. but there are still components left. there are connectors on that remaining camera bezel they left in, along with the nfc reader.

I need those too, but I really appreciate the tip!!!!

@burke76365 That's the exact same situation I found myself in when I went to do the same operation on an iPhone X. Lots of guides but none that were complete; they didn't remove everything, apparently assuming replacements came with some parts already installed. I ended up writing a lot of guides for the iPhone X in order to be complete.

Your next best option might be to do a YouTube search for either rear case replacements or teardown videos.

@burke76365 I did run across an interesting replacement part; it's in black though, so I don't know if that's the right one for you, but it has all the parts you're concerned with already installed.

Plus I see it has all the glass as well; the other ones I saw didn't even have that.

You can get the correct color in that same style from this website, but be warned, it's substantially more expensive than the one I just posted.
