How to repair an ALFA ROMEO GT steering wheel PCB circuit board

The Horn of Alfa Romeo GT stoped working. I found half repair solution for it in the link below.

https://www.alfaowner.com/threads/new-gt...

The repair does not seem to restore functionality for the PCB board. It just allow the horn of the vehicle to work again.

Could some body please guide me to test and repair the PCB properly? I not very good at PCB repairs but I have multi meter and soldering iron.

I have attached some photos for the actual PCB that I got from my car. In the photos, in the center of the PCB, you will find that there is a corroded SMD. I believe this is where the fault can be found but I am not sure how to test the PCB.

@mhassan88171 looks like a diode. There are some major issues with that board. There appears to be more damage than just the diode.

I would suggest you either replace the board with a new one or repair it as shown here. Of course, you can always replace the component with something like the one below it and check the traces of the board etc. You will need a multimeter to try to identify what you have there. Use something like this test for a quick check."Connected one way across the diode, the meter should show a very low resistance at (a). Connected the other way across the diode, it should show a very high resistance at (b) "That is for the component below the one that "went up in smoke".

You can see the same burnt out component as in the repair link. I think it's a diode. If you can find a correct part replacement(usually marked on it but yours burnt) its simple to replace or bridge burnt part by scraping either side to reveal copper and bridge.
