Nothing happened and my Mac screen is glitchy. Please help!

I came home from work one day and opened my MacBook 2017 12in to very glitchy horizontal lines all over the screen. It’s not a physical crack or anything, it seems to follow my mouse and images on the screens. So the lines do move around based on what’s on screen. I have tried restarting it, factory reset, reset nvram, reset smc, updated it to newest version, and ran a maintenance script with nothing showing up. No one touched it, I’ve never dropped it, the only thing that happened to it was my friend who gave it to me spilled something on it like three years ago but the only problems that arose from that were some keys that were jammed. They are easily unjammed though so I really don’t think that has any bearing on it. Whyyyyyy? I don’t understand. Please help!!!

Answer this question I have this problem too

samanthacheese what you're describing is a bad screen. Of course check it first by connecting an external monitor to your computer. See if that displays properly. If so, time to replace your screen
