Can I replace the screen on my mp3 player?

Hello, I own a Sony Walkman NWZ-E436F model mp3 player which has a small crack on the screen. I was wondering if it is possible to replace the screen in any way to make it look better.

John Smith, sure it is. Get the service manual from here. It will show you how to do it. Problem is going to be to find the LCD, part number 1-802-761-11 Hope this helps, good luck.

If I have another mp3 player of the same type or the exact same mp3, can I take the parts from that mp3 (LCD and screen and what not) and use them to replace the ones from the mp3 I am using?

absolutely. If you have a spare you can use it to harvest the parts and repair yours. Use the manual to carefully disassemble both and repair the one you like. Good Luck.

Can I take parts from the Sony Walkman NWZ-S736F Black 4GB Media Player and use them to replace the old ones from my current NWZ-E436F mp3 player? The two mp3 players look pretty much the same.
