battery replacement for iPhone 4 shown on iFixit

I watched a video by iFixit on changing the battery. The girl in the video took off an antenna contact and put it aside. What does that contact do? On the video she does not show her replacing it. I have not yet done so yet the phone functions receiving a message. It is a bugger to replace [with arthritic fingers].

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi

I believe the contact is for grounding purposes

All you have to do to put it back on and align the hole with where the screw goes back in then plug your battery back in on top of the antenna

So the screw should go through the metal bit on the battery connector and go through the little metal loop on the antenna

If you need any more help just ask

Hopefully this helps

Thanks:-)
