Hello, I swapped my entire shell and wired up a extremeRate backbutton set. Everything is functional on the controller except the swipe function. The button input from the touchpad works fine, but I'm not sure why the swipe has gone away? Could the board not be completely stuck to the replacement pad and not getting a correct input?

I believe this may be a problem of the pad not making contact with the board like you mentioned. So I would take it back apart and make sure that the two are getting a good connection, make sure to tighten any screws so that there is a good connection.

Tried this when I go home. I got it all apart heated it back up and left a heavy object on it. Still no dice, I think the ExtremeRate replacement touchpad is just to thick.
I see, I suppose it may just be a bad a touchpad.
I have the same issue multiple controllers. Doubt I have two bad touchpads. Both worked prior to mod
I have the same issue on two controllers, no touch input but the button press works. I haven't replaced any original parts of the Dualsenses, but kitbashed a red and black controller (this looks really cool, believe me!). So now the black touch pad is connected to the red motherboard and visa versa. I think this is the problem, but I'm not sure until I take both controllers entirely apart again and reassemble everything. Both controllers are brand new and I haven't 'opened' the touch pad. If anyone hete has any more know how of the hardware, please let me know!
The touch no longer works once you replace the touchpad using the extremerate full shell swap. I know this is a year late but for anyone else who sees this.
Did anyone figure out what was wrong? I have 2 controllers with this issue. One of them hasn't even had parts replaced. The ribon cables seem fine.
