Will agitate but not spin.
Washer will agitate but not spin?
Is this a good question?
Daniel Munoz without knowing the exact model it becomes a bit more difficult. Number one suspect would be the lid switch. The lid switch is designed to prevent the washer from spinning when you open the lid. So, a switch that does not have the continuity could prevent your washer from spinning. You also did not tell us if you hear the motor noise when you turn the washer on while you set your program to spin. It could be the spline on your motor couple but that would depend on the washer model again. Some are differently splined and it would not affect the spin cycle. Knowing your model number would help with that.
Check on here Kenmore 400 Washer and if you check the 2nd paragraph of the Background and Identification section, it'll tell you where to look for that number.

Hi,
What is the model number of the washer?
by jayeff
It's a Kenmore 400. I'm thinking it's either lid sensor or motor coupling

@Daniel Munoz
The full model number will help to find the tech sheet which has the diagnostics and also to find the relevant parts for that model.
If the lid sensor was faulty you would think that it would affect other functions such as fill, agitate and rinse before it got to the spin cycle as they require that the lid is shut properly as signaled by the lid switch.
A problem with the coupling would also affect the agitate

@shingle this is still a relatively new question. No reason to archive it yet. Let's revisit this in 120 days. Give people time since not everybody is online 24/7.
