Is there any performance hit when using the transparent back cover?

In the original back cover, there is some metalized shielding and a pogo pin to connect to it near the bottom left side of the battery.

The transparent back cover does not have any metalized shielding for the pogo pin to connect to. I assume there should be some EMI shielding issue or (ground plane for WiFi?) antenna performance hit as a result of using the transparent back cover.

Can anyone confirm the function of the pogo pin to the metal shield on the original back cover?

I added the transparent back to my 4s, today. so far no evidence of any lack of functionality. The only negatives were that there does not seem to have been the advertised "protective plastic film over the camera lens" to be carefully (or otherwise) removed and the transparent back shows not only the inards of the iPhone, but each and every finger print, as well, curiously even more than the previous shiny black back.

i purchased this item. got it in the mail today. everything fits and looks fine.

wireless bluetooth and my 3g signal all works and is the same.
