Main battery needed to run PB with power cord?

History

I know it's embarassing to ask this, but better safe than sorry. Do I put the Computer at risk by using the power adapter without the main battery in its slot?

No problem. Be aware that if your internal PRAM battery is dead and without a charged battery in the slot you'll have to reset Date & Time each time you'll power up the machine.

I would also add that if the PRAM battery is dead you should remove it as it can cause the computer to not boot if bad. lemerise is correct about resetting date and time unless you have a DSL connection. If so just set the date/time to automatically reset when you go online. +
