Cd drive not reading disk

Lately, I've been having issues with my base model Xbox one's optical drive. For some reason, it wouldn't read discs, and they would get stuck. I've tried cleaning the laser and even took it apart. In my second attempt at fixing it, I tried taking the optical drive from a broken Xbox one and swapping them to find out that you can't do that. Recently I tried taken both optical drives apart and “swapping" the boards over from the working one to the broken one. So the one that works would have the board of the broken one. The only issue is that I have it reassembled and the Xbox is on and accepts discs but doesn't read them.
