Rajesh Ramachandran  here is what the 6 LED blink code means for your model.

It is a backlight error. You do want to go ahead and remove the back cover from your TV after you unplug it and take a look at the power board as well as the main board. Check for any obviously damaged parts. Post some good pictures of your boards and the interconnect cables with your QUESTION.Adding images to an existing question That way we can see what you see. After that, you want to go ahead and check the voltage measurement as pointed out on the flowchart.

That way you know which board you should replace. Let us know what you find.

how can we find the exact troubleshooting guide for sony model

@jcao27358

Try searching for "(insert model number of your TV) service manual" and see if there's one available online.

@jayeff thanks!! i found the service manual for my model, unfortunately, there's no detailed troubling shooting on 6 red blinking, i will just go with the backlight issue, try to replace the backlight and see how it goes, thanks again !

if you can’t google this

sony tv 6 flashes

to get things like this

Six red flashes means: backlight issue, bad main board, bad power board or bad inverter board. Try turning the TV off, unplugging and pressing the power button on the back of the TV while unplugged.

replacing parts is probably a bad and expensive idea.

These issues normally mean the main power board has bad capacitors or leaking capacitors. Take the back off the tv and look for the board that has a transformer on it with a load of large capacitors. Normally the capacitors will bulge out the top. Usually ones near heatsinks. The temperature is higher for them near heatsinks making them exceed there running temp causing them to leak. If you’re handy with a soldering iron you can get the values of the damaged capacitors and replace them. If not just search on eBay for a replacement main board using the tvs model number to find it. Always find and look at the old one so you know it’s definitely the right replacement

@nealwaby25 just to clarify. No, it does not. Do not mix up terms like power board and main board. Those are two separate things. 6 blink is definitely NOT a power issue on any Sony!

Hi Genius people, I have a 65 " Sony and it has 6 time blink issue and nothing comes on screen. Power supply seems good as getting PS and Stdby voltage along with other voltage. Any suggestions welcome. TIA.

I assume you didn't get any results from the previous answers, right?

Then post what you have done. If you have done nothing, what are you expecting from us?
