Try to reset by pushing hold button at the top right and the and the home button at the front of the iPod. Continue holding both even after the slider to turn off the touch appears. Do not let go. After a few seconds, the screen should flash and go black. The iPod has now been rebooted. Hold down the hold button at the top left until the screen lights up again and the Apple logo appears. Let go of the button and let the iPod finish booting up.
