Why my screen turn black and caps lock light blinking

I have HP Pavilion 15 CX0118TX Core i5 8th Generation Gaming Laptop 8GB DDR4 1TB + 128GB SSD 4GB Nvidia GTX1050 but every time I start to play games my screen turns black and caps lock light starts blinking 5 times slow and 3 times fast but it works fine when I do other work

Hi,

A 5:3 error code indicates a System board problem: The embedded controller times out waiting for the BIOS.

Have you checked that the latest drivers, especially the Nvidia graphics drivers are installed?

Can you force the laptop to use the Intel graphics and not the Nvidia and see if the problem occurs?

if it doesn't then there may be a problem with the Nvidia GPU.

Also try running the hardware diagnostics to check what it shows, especially the video checks
