No it does not. If you have a leak of power steering it is usually caused by as failed gasket/O-ring in the system, like the steering gear, the pump, or any of the hose. The boot is there to protect the rack and pinion gear from debris entering the the steering gear. You can download the suspension and steering part of a repair manual from here. Good Luck
