Is Mid 2011 MacBook Air (11") display compatible with Late 2010?

History

I have been looking everywhere for this answer but can't seem to find it.

I have an 11" Macbook Air, Late 2010 model and I also have the Mid 2011 model as well. I cracked the LCD on my 2011 and would like to replace the entire display (not just the LCD) with the one from my 2010. The model numbers on both show A1370, which I thought was odd, but would you assume that they are compatible? Should I be able to just pull the display off the 2010 and attach to 2011?

As I mentioned, I don't want to change just the LCD but the entire display following the steps shown here at iFixit.

Thanks in advance

Thank you simran for the reply. So essentially everything is identical between the two. That's good to know.

Question = Answered...

I disassembled both machines this evening, and upon attaching the 2010 screen assembly to the 2011 body, I noticed two things:

1) 11.6" Mid-2011 MacBook Air's did not use a shim between the hinge and case assembly like the 2010 model, which had a single metal shim between each hinge.

2) Since the Bluetooth/Airport board is mounted differently on the Mid-2011 i5 Logic Board, the antenna cables on the Late-2010 screen assembly DO NOT reach. I repeat, they DO NOT REACH.

Long story short - This does not work.

Hope this helps.
