Why do I get hE error code? Replaced thermistor and thermostat already

My Kenmore elite clothes dryer keeps running and displays an error code hE. It runs at one minute until it overheats and shuts down. It dries the clothes fine but with one minute left in the cycle it just continually runs until it overheats at one minute. I have already replaced of the thermistor and the thermostat and the heating coil.

Answer this question I have this problem too

@movo62 so you get the hE error code as well? what have you checked?

by

we replaced the thermistor-but we are now just replacing the whole dryer. My husband is pretty handy and thought he had it fixed but it still showed the error code

First thing to check would be your vent. The model number would help - but that is usually related to overheating. Most of the time caused by a blocked vent. If you have replaced those parts already - try this option. Easiest way to test the vent? Remove the vent from the back of the dryer. Run a cycle empty and see if it shuts off like it should. If it does - clean that vent out, or just replace it!

Good luck!
