i need to replace my ipod touch back panel because there are tons of scratches so i'd like to know when i can get one for a 3rd gen because ive only seen places selling the back panels for the 2nd gen. or is there a website that will sell a blank back with the apple logo, and the memory size on it with nothing else?

I know you are likely not there, but you may not find a 32gb label on one. This is the only one on eBay:
