How do I fix my calculator that only runs on solar power?

My Casio fx-991ES PLUS was dropped and now the display does not light up unless it is under a light source. It has a mini solar panel which I assume it using for power and it has new batteries in it but they do not seem to work. Is there something I can do to fix it?

@madrthanevr could simply be an issue of torn wires/ connectors or something more sinister like an issue with the power management IC on your PCB. We’d need to see what is going on inside your calculator Adding images to an existing question

Thanks @oldturkey03 there was just a disconnected wire. Probably should have checked beforehand. Much appreciated!

Casio can replace the broken screen, they will give you a price before they do the repair, by the time you add shipping to them and shipping back to you, you will be better off just buying a new calculator and keeping this one for spare parts for the next person who wants to buy a motherboard.
