should I replace the LCD or the digitizer alone?

the case is that , the imaging of the iPad is perfectly fine, but I have this difficulty in touching when touching certain parts of the screen (ex. when I am typing a message, at some point, the point where letter A, and N located isn’t functioning at all.. i need to rotate the screen for me to type the letter A and N..) should I replace the LCD ? OR IS it ok if I only replace touch pad or digitizer? pls do give me some advice

The digitizer has two layers which is touch screen and glass. Replacing that part will fix the touch problem.
