How do you fix the power switch in an iPod shuffle 2nd gen?

My iPod’s model number is Model No.:A1204 EMC No.: 2125 5V 1A .

The power switch just doesn’t work. I do, however, have a few suspects:

  1. The switch isn’t making any contact
  2. There’s a break in the line that powers on the system
  3. I don’t know what else it could be
  4. The battery takes charge and it holds data just fine.
  5. It’s all just the power switch.

Follow the tear down until the power switch is removed and then follow the steps backwards to put it back together.iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation Teardown
