How do I check and change the gear oil in a 2008 EZGO electrick golf cart and what viscosity of oil?

Here’s a link to a service manual for an EZGO electric cart but it is for the wrong year as it says starting model year 2001

Hopefully it may still be of some help if you can’t find the correct manual. There is no mention in it about the grade of oil required for the rear axle, only how to check the level and replace it if necessary see p.Q-1.

Alternatively you could contact EZGO and request a service manual for your year model cart and ask them about the type of oil as well.
