Why is my LDC not working after digitizer replacement?
Hi. Looking for some assistance.
I changed the digitizer and power button cable on an iPad 3. Touch was not working, so I could not power down the device. Once the repair was completed, I powered it on to test the device and the battery was dead, which was odd because it was at 79% before I began the work. I figure it drained. So, I plugged it in. The screen showed the battery-charging image, but that was it. I walked away for a few minutes and now I have a black screen with no functionality. I know the tablet has powered on because I hear the sing-song when I plug the charger in. Any ideas as to what might have gone wrong?
Is this a good question?

Thanks for the response. I did check into that because disconnecting the battery is pretty much a standard requirement for any repair. The weird thing is, the instructions didn’t say anything about disconnecting the battery. The battery doesn’t snap into a socket on this model. It’s actually connects by gold contact points beneath the logic board. The instructions and even the video do no include a step for the disconnection of the battery. I also shined a light on the screen as you instructed and still see nothing. It connects to iTunes, though.
