PSP has rainbowing/lines on the screen how can I fix this?

Hi i have baught this PSP 3000 in Red with a Xbox 360 at a Flea Market for the dirt cheap but it had a damaged UMD button so i bought a new UMD lever got out my crappy large solder iron due to my others not working anymore and melted off the old UMD Switch, cleaned up the iron and installed a the new UMD button put the PSP back together and the UMD drive worked but the screen didn’t work properly had lines and this rainbow effect with the bleeding colours the screen used to work just fine before installing a UMD Switch. So at first i thought i damaged the screen. So i ordered a new screen installed it and same problem so what could the problem be? Did i damaged some of the components on mobo near the UMD Button?

You probably melted/damaged the board with your soldering iron. Unfortunately you can’t really repair it unless you get an entirely new logic board/motherboard.

Well i made sure to not touch the chip by taping it over with kapton tape but the UMD button has smd components near it look like caps must have damaged those. I’m not buying a new mobo as i baught this to resell.

I do not know. Mine does the same thing. It never bothered me. It doesn’t interfere with gameplay.
