Try to reset To reset iPod touch, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. To charge it, try a AC charger as well if it does not charge from your USB port. Always use a USB port that comes directly of the mother board and never use a hub to connect it:-) let us know how it is going. Good Luck

You might want to try connecting the iPod to your computer and opening up iTunes, and then using that to restore your iPod. This restores your iPod to a factory condition, i.e. the condition it was when it left the factory. Be aware though that this will wipe your iPod's contents completely.
