Misplaced Pin on Sony DSC-T1 Repair

Hi Great guide on repairing the DSC-T1's components. When I opened the front cover a small pin fell out. It is about 11mm long and the shaft is about 1mm in diameter. I do not see it pictured in any of your photos and I can't find where it goes. The camera seems to work without it, but I'd really like to know where it goes.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks to Old Turkey I can tell you that it's a "lens pin" and it goes into the lens/CCD assembly, just under the one motor.

On the other hand I can't tell you what it does. Looks like it just lies in there loose, doesn't hold anything, doesn't touch anything (except the front and back covers, looks like).

All I can think of is maybe it's a spacer to keep the body from denting in the middle. Anyway, mine's in and all is good. Thanks Old Turkey!

I have a Sony DSC-T1 Cyber-shot - Digital Camera - 5.1 MegaPixel - DSC-T1. I haven't used it in a year. I just connected the cable charger to get it to work. ASll I'm getting is a window with the clock set options. I've reset the camera. However, I'm unable to use all other functions. Do you think I need a new battery?
