Can a broken mounting peg on an analog stick be repaired?

The right analog stick was non-functioning. Upon disassembly, I found the mounting peg for the stick to be broken in two. The base of the peg still appears to function, but can the two pieces be screwed and glued? I think a replacement would be a better option, but how? This controller was bought "modded" for rapid-fire for $60, so the replacement cost is higher than a regular wireless controller. Any ideas?

Depending on the thickness of the plastic you may be able to drill holes in either part and put a metal rod/pin etc use modelmakers glue to strengthen bond? I need to see it for myself to answer properly but this has worked in the past... You need a very fine drill bit..

With out seeing pictures I can't tell you about gluing it. But I believe this is the replacement part you are looking for here.
