History

I want to upgrade my SATA 80 GB hard drive on my 2006 13" macbook but have been told confilicting info on what is the max GB that will work with my computer. Thanks !

Thanks so much. I had been told by one supplier that since I have SATA I, not SATA II, that even if I put in a larger amount of GB that it would only support 120 GB

The largest drive that I know of for your MacBook is a 750 GB. You need to stay with 9 mm drives, the 12.5 mm will not fit in your machine. Here's one that iFixit offers:

750 GB 7200 RPM Seagate SATA Hard Drive (New)

Here's one I like: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Western%2...
