Hinge jammed open on ASUS F3S series
Screen is jamed open and when trying to close is breaking computer case

Gregory Smith, it sounds to me like your hinge(s) are frozen. I read that this is a somewhat common issue with the Asus. Do a search on google and you'll be surprised. Anyhow, before any further damage I would replace the hinges They are available here with instructions. Good luck to you and let us know what happened.
