can i replace a gfi switch with a regular outlet

If your Barista is tripping your GFI, it's most likely because the heating element has ruptured and that's allowing it to short to the boiler. Bypassing this safety mechanism could lead to the user of the machine getting a shock from the metal casing, or worse.

Yes you can. Should you? NO! The GFI is there for a reason - to protect people from possible electrocution.
