From the Apple iPod touch manual " Each accessibility feature can be turned on or off in Accessibility settings on iPod touch. You can also turn accessibility features on or off in iTunes when iPod touch is connected to your computer.

Turn accessibility features on or off in iTunes:

1 Connect iPod touch to your computer.

2 In iTunes, select iPod touch in the Devices list.

3 In the Summary pane, click Confgure Universal Access in the Options section.

4 Select the accessibility features that you want to use and click OK.

The Large Text feature can only be turned on or off

Good Luck

Just checking the accessibility settings alone may not solve the problem. This was the solution that worked for me with my iPod Nano: My earphones I was using had a control button on it. It occurred to me that they were about 3 years old, were subjected to a lot of dust and sweat, so what if that button mechanism was jammed or no longer working properly - possibly cueing the Nano to go into voiceover mode. I switched to a new set of earphones (which also have a control button) and my iPod Nano has worked beautifully ever since. Try another set of earphones and see how your iPod behaves. Good luck.

Triple clicking the home button (□) on the iPod Touch 4th generation will turn on/off the voice over. No need to go to settings. It's sort of like a shortcut. I don't have any other generations to confirm if this works on all iPod Touchs.

If you have the 3rd generation ipod touch you will need to go to settings, then accessibility, and then voiceover and turn that off. Hope that helps!
